I never even realised you could change that. Even though I've been coming here since 2005 and I started my account in, I think 2009, I didn't get really into making posts, making friends, etc until this past year. So bare with me that I don't know shit.
Newgrounds I feel has been getting alot better recently. Not that it was ever "shitty," but it really has upgraded alot, don't you agree? Expecially with chat, I fucking love that place. Nice seeing regulars, I feel like I'm one now.
Hard for me quantify how things were in the long-ago here, totally different vibe, though yeah, the new features sure helped (used to have to use bookmarks to keep up w/ friends here, before the social features were introduced).
Not everyone who stuck around here wanted to socialize in teh BBS, me neither, I kept to blogs mostly, since hardly anyone ever replied to them, and to a lesser degree reviews, if they didn't want/have a blog set up
I have to agree with you. Having that "social feature" has been a huge advantage to keep up with what people put out there. Definitely how I keep in contact with people.
